CD front/back cover, insert and magazine advertisement work finished!

We have made our final adjustments and changes to all the CD front/ back cover, insert and magazine work. We then printed them off and put them inside the CD case. Here is our finished work:

CD Front Cover
We decided to go with a black and white theme throughout and red on 'Kiss you' to emphasise the single name. Both the band name on the front cover and spine are in bold to stand out as it acts as the logo of our band, making it instantly recognisable to the consumer. The band name is also in an enlarged font to demonstrate a hierarchy of importance. Our band members are all shown together on the front cover, as typical 'pop' bands do this to promote the band members themselves as a marketing technique, and just to stand out. By following this we were sticking to the genre conventions.

CD Back Cover
We went for a reverse style whereby a photo was taken in front of us for the front cover and vise- versa for the back cover. We decided to present levels within the image to stick with the genre conventions of 'pop'; this is for both the front and back cover. Itunes logo, a barcode and record company/labels are all used on the back for it to be at a industry standard.

CD Insert
As our band is a boy band we wanted to incorporate some fun, colourful images into the CD insert rather than them all being in a black and white them like our CD front and back cover. The image of myself and Jem jumping off the bench below include lyrics across both pages but aren't shown on the blog.

By using the same image for the magazine cover as we used for the CD front cover it standardises them making it recognisable to the consumer and creates familiarity between all our work. From a business point of view it is likely t increase sales if the customer has a greater awareness of the band. We made sure there was a sizing hierarchy for the magazine in term of text size to demonstrate order of importance. Like the front cover, we included record labels, Itunes logo as well as a QR code and review stars to make it professional and to industry standard.
